30 January 2019

Hell, everyone, I hope you're doing well,

Life is pretty good here.

The other day I met an oldish guy, who was pretty funny. He is from Honduras, lived more than 10 years in the United States, and somehow ended up in Guatemala. His name is Oscar. He was telling us about his religious view, about how he believed in God, but didn´t know which of the many religions is the true church, or if there even is a true church. Then he mentioned that when he was young he attended The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints cause his girlfriend was a member of the church. and while he talked we were thinking "oh my goodness, this guy is for sure going to get baptized!" But then he said, "But anyway, this Friday I'm going to immigrate to the United States, and I'm never coming back!"

But anyway, I still hope he will get baptized. I don´t know how or where, but I sure hope it happens.

Anyway, I love you all very much,
Keep Being Awesome.

16 January 2018

I hope everyone is feeling better now.

We had the baptismal service last Saturday, and it turned out really well, there were even a few non-members who showed up, and now we are teaching a few of them, so hopefully, they will get baptized soon as well!

I am honestly really enjoying being a missionary, it´s pretty fun. So much so that I want to keep doing it after I finish the mission. So just so you all know, if the day ever comes in which I slow down, and stop giving referrals to the missionaries, and going out to visit with them, you can feel free to give me a good hard Gibbs slap.

Speaking of which, how are you guys doing with the Elder Johnson challenge? You know, the one where everyone gets to give a referral to the missionaries and be present in the lessons with them?

I love you all very much, keep being awesome.

9 January 2019

I´ve been thinking a little bit about what I will do after the mission. If I will work, what kind of work would I have? If I would keep studying, where I would go to study? But the conclusion that I come to is that all I need to worry about right now is putting all my heart and effort into working and fulfilling the Lord's will, cause I know that if I do, God will provide the opportunities afterward; which is actually really cool.

I just got transferred this last month. My new companion is from the capital of Guatemala. He is pretty cool, really quiet, and at the same time powerful.

Oh, by the way, I´m finally going to have my first baptism for 6 months! I've gotten close several times, but this time it's really going to happen!!!!!

2 January 2019

Hey, guys, I hope everything is going well for you.

Lately, we have seen a lot of miracles. One was yesterday. There were very few people in their homes because of the New Years celebrations and those that were in their homes were busy making food and setting off fireworks. so they only thing that we could do was visit the few ward members that were in their homes.

So that's what we did. The first family wasn´t home, but the second family was. when we got there, one member of the family asked us to give him a blessing, which we did We then shared a small spiritual thought with the family. At the end of the visit, we asked them if they had any referrals for us, and they gave us a couple. One was miraculously at home, so one of the family members took us to visit the family right then and there! It turned out to be one of the best miracle finds for weeks too!

It was really great to see how God always blesses us when we do our part. Whenever we have a problem, if we ask for divine guidance, and we search diligently for the solution the Lord will bless us.
